Chant lesson: metre, syllables & practiceOften recited before beginning a task. This familiar version circulates widely; its exact textual origin is not established.
वक्रतुण्ड (‘curved-trunked’) and महाकाय (‘large-bodied’) are descriptive names addressed to Gaṇeśa, not a description of the speaker.
निर्विघ्नं means ‘without obstacles’; सर्वकार्येषु means ‘in all undertakings.’ The prayer asks for a clear path in every task.
The device voice only reads the words. Vāgbodhinī (IISc) plays a metre-aware reference chant and scores your chanting syllable by syllable. Copy the verse above and paste it there.
